There is good news for iPhone 4 users, unlocking tool Gevey Sim is on the finish. So, if you have updated your gadget to iOS 5 then you have to update iPhone 4 baseband 04.11.08 and enjoy it. We took that information from Facebook notice from AppleNBerry who was the developer of Gevey Sim unlocking tool for iPhone. That what they wrote:

“updates..updates…
I thought I made it clear, but I guess there are some miscommunications.
Good news, we are in the testing stage.
Bad news, I don’t want to promise anyone and get flame.
It is very difficult to not offend anyone.”

The current available version of Gevey SIM unlock unlocks all iPhone 4 basebands except that 4.11.08 baseband. There’s no current solution that can unlock iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08.

Gevey SIM 4.11.08 baseband solution for iOS 5 will be available sooner or later. There’s no word on the release date. If the results of this testing phase goes well then we can expect a video demo followed by a release soon.

But as for me, I think that there is something wrong with that Gevey Sim and AppleNBerry just pull time to fix it. There also nothing heard about UltraSn0w unlock.

So no need to wait for UltraSn0w unlock because we will hardly see it. And if you are iPhone 4S user then we have good news for you too. Famous developer from iPhone Dev team was declared that they are working on tool to unlock iPhone 4S and we will see it very soon.

Update: There is information that you can try SAM unlock method to unlock 04.12.01 or other basebands. So it is no need to wait for Gevey SIM.
