I love taking pictures with my iDevice, but more often I have to take screenshots of apps when describing Cydia tweaks. Apple offers several ways to transfer iPhone photos to Mac. Alas, too much manual work to do that – in most cases it required neither install and run iPhoto nor connect iPhone to your computer via USB.

Everyone talks about the new iPhone, which should be presented to the public on September 12. Also I have already written that its production has begun, now is the turn of the controversial device that is popularly dubbed as the iPad mini. According to rumors, Foxconn workers begun to manufacture the tablet with a screen diagonal of 7.85 inches, just like the nex-gen iPhone.
The iOS 6 channel data transmission via Bluetooth 4 will be enabled in iPhone 5. It is said to be talking about the updated iPod nano player. As a result, it can be used as a SmartWatch device from Sony but a higher quality one. With this feature it will be possible to use the following model of the iPod nano to view messages received through the iMessage on iPhone, record voice memos and share them via the phone and even call using player headphones. Presumably, this would also make calls from the tablet iPad (and, perhaps, from laptops and Mac), if the smartphone is connected to them via Bluetooth.
JailbreakCon (WWJC) will be held in San Francisco on September 29. Last year jailbreakers congress was held in London under the name MyGreatFest will be held this year as well. Only at that time, it will collect the listeners on another continent, and under a different name. We’ve already wrote about WWJC 2012 and now here is the expended pack of information.
To report trouble with the Apple iCloud mail and service in general has become an usual practice for most of internet resources: the case of each malfunction of any component of iCloud immediately perceived as a serious Apple’s failure which in spite of all financial investments can not provide a stable continuous maintenance. This is partly true, and yesterday the tech blogs have got a reason for such thoughts again as it’s not the firs time iCloud server is down.
A new development – Monocle Cydia tweak brought by us by Ryan Petrich, a developer well-known in the jailbreak community. The tweak allows to include the full-screen mode for all applications on the iPhone. Monocle in contrast to other similar Cydia tweaks tweaks provides a true full-screen mode, hiding not only the status bar, but the navigation bar, tab menu and toolbar interface of the standard iOS layout.
Yesterday Apple received text input patent - one more weapon in a huge arsenal of patents. The patent bureau finally issued a document confirming the right of the text input technology with a relatively small touch screen. The patent numbered 8,232,973 is entitled “Methods, devices, and graphical user interface is recommended for text input.” It describes the effect of increasing the square button, a virtual keyboard on the basis of intellectual input system without having to change the size of the visual images of buttons.
Dropbox administration announced that the cloud service became the victim of spammers who stole usernames and passwords of its users. As reported by CNet, starting mid-July Dropbox account holders have begun to complain about getting emails with advertising of casinos and gambling sites. Most of the complaints came from Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Service management has responded to complaints and promised to solve the problem as soon as possible.
We learn many new interesting facts after the trial between Apple and Samsung. A few days ago we wrote you about iPhone and iPad prototypes and that was really interesting. But today I have another fresh info concerning iPhone model history which is came from Jonathan Ive.
