i cannot do any of this on my Sprint iPhone 4. the first step says "Failed No Address" and so I looked up the SMS Service Number for Sprint and tried to do the 2nd step but it also FAILED =/

Didnt help. Great Instructions but something is missing, such as sending messages only. Receiving messages were fine. I think the Techs who designed iphones do this to annoy the hell out of people, and it sucks.

i jailbroke my 3gs and am not able to see any messages that are sent to me they are all blank and am not able to send,i tried the instructions above and still nothing

Just download bitesms if your iPhone is jail broken…. It fixed my problem

hello. i followed your directions to the T, and i still cant send text messages on tmobile. please help me. what is weird is my older 3gs is running 5.01, and baseband 6.15. my new 3gs is running 6.0.1 and baseband 6.15 and the phone portion works fine. just cant send text messages. any help please?

I used this method and did it before public tuts were available….
Same problem occurred… this method did not fix the problem.
But give it 2-3 days for your carrier to reset the network settings (automatically)
