Meet AT&T 4G LTE Release in 10 US Markets!
If you already read about first iPhone 5 teardown, you really need a one more hot news. Here they are! We found out the AT&T releases 4G LTE in 10 markets! And all this happend ahead of the iPhone 5 release!
4G LTE network appeared in 10 new main cities over the U.S. in anticipation of Friday’s launch of the iPhone 5, that is Apple’s first 4G LTE capable phone.
So where you can find AT&T 4G LTE network? In what markets? Here is a small list:
- Birmingham, Ala.
- Cincinnati, Ohio
- Fayetteville, N.C.
- Honolulu, Hawaii
- Memphis, Tenn.
- Pittsburgh, Penn.
- Philadelphia, Pa.
- Sacramento, Calif.
- Seattle, Wash.
- Wilmington, Dele.
As the debut of AT&T’s 4G LTE networks correlates with the release of a new iPhone, which can be AT&T’s most common smartphone, the press announcements from the carrier make no reference to Apple’s iPhone 5. As an alternative, AT&T has centered on promoting a number of its other 4G LTE network capable gadgets: the Motorola Atrix HD, Sony Xperia ion, HTC One X, Samsung Focus 2, Nokia Lumia 900, Samsung Galaxy Note, and also Pantech Element tablet.
The addition of 10 unique markets comes only a couple weeks after AT&T started up its 4G LTE network in nine other marketplaces. The provider has guaranteed that 34 far more will obtain 4G LTE coverage prior to the end of the season, such as Denver-Boulder, Colo.; Albany, N.Y.; Detroit, Mich.; and El Paso, Tex.

AT&T began advertising its HSDPA network as 4G since it is capable of 4G-like speeds, eventhough it isn’t a true fourth-generation network. Apple has addressed this variation by showing an LTE symbol in the higher left corner of the iPhone 5 and also third-generation iPad when the products have a true 4G LTE signal.
