Apple Wins Patent for Its Original iPad Design
Even though a lot of tablet computers have similar design, Apple wished to patent its creations so badly it actually won the victory. The latest Apple patent for iPad design granted to the company is another proof to this. Of course, it will most likely not change the reality no matter what we all are thinking about this Cupertino-based company’s step.
The new design patent is said to be made for a “portable display device,” yet it reminds the first-gen iPad. Also there are rumors that Apple changed iPad Mini design but there is another story. Apple first filed this patent in January 2010, a day before it officially introduced its original tablet computer that entered the market in the spring of 2010. The document includes references dating back to the 1990s.
No iPad Copycat?
What can this new Apple patent for iPad design lead to? We don’t know yet, but Samsung will surely be unhappy [even frustrated] with the new tool that Apple can use for their arguments over the exclusiveness of its iOS tablet. Now the company will be able to say that not only its device’s design is exceptional, but also all of its components are. As to the components you can read about new Apple wireless headphones that Cupertino company has patented before.
The courtroom battle between the two tech companies will surely continue. Apple doesn’t like when its rivals create devices that remind of its own products so the company is doing its best to protect its inventions by patenting stuff. Well, all huge corporations are doing the same thing as no one likes to share the income from gadgets designed and manufactured as exclusive products yet being copycat by others.
Victory over iPad Design
