Apple Is Going To Release iOS 6.0.1 Soon
Many users are waiting for an early recovery update of iOS 6 which should correct the errors and shortcomings of the first firmware version. Yesterday, I suggested that Apple may release iOS 6.0.1 update on the current presentation together with iTunes 11. It is difficult to say whether this will happen, but there were rumors about iOS 6.0.1 and iOS 6.1 updates. Resources report that Apple is already testing iOS update: 6.0.1 with bug fixes and a larger update 6.1.
Update: Now you can download iOS 6.0.1 using direct links and enjoy its new features and bug fixes.
According to the rumors Cupertino company is planning to release iOS 6.0.1 in a week or two. As for the iOS 6.1, the release date may happen after the holidays.
But let’s see what features new iOS firmware will have after you update your device. According to rumors, the list of updates in iOS 6.0.1 will be:
- Elimination of flickering lines on the keyboard in iPhone 5;
- Fix the lack of flash on;
- Correction of errors, resulting in access to Passbook with lock screen;
- Correction of signal loss;
- Fix a problem with the disappearance of the Exchange meetings;
- Improved Wi-Fi connection in iDevices;
- Improved functioning if cellular data;
- Consolidated cellular data switch for iTunes Match.
Despite the appearance of a list of changes of the new firmware version, the exact iOS 6.0.1 release date for the public is unknown. Developers have not yet received beta version for testing.
But the most interesting to me is iOS 6.1 features. Maybe this new Apple OS will be developed for widescreen iPad 4, release of which we expect next year? Stay tuned with us and you will be the first to know about that.
And the last thing. If you are using any software or SIM unlock on your iPhone you better stay away from iOS 6.0.1 update because you will lose it and there is no way back. The only way to use new iOS 6.0.1 on your iPhone is to use IMEI unlock which allows you to upgrade your device not only to iOS 6.0.1 but to iOS 6.1 in the future.
